Perry Park was once a limestone quarry, so there are numerous geological features to discover. There are also trails to explore in the park’s wooded area to the west.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Over the weekend, we happened to be in the area and found Perry Playground for the kids to run off some of the energy. Perry Playground is a City of Austin park that is adjacent to Highland Park Elementary and Crenshaw Athletic Club. For the most part, the park and the school run together. It\u2019s quite lovely actually, especially to come on a weekend when they had free roam of both the city and school playgrounds.<\/p>\n Perry Playground was once a limestone quarry, and as such there are some interesting rock formations.<\/p>\n\n
